Caracterización de los pacientes que acudieron por trauma facial al Centro Dental Docente de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, 2023

Abstract

Introducción: El traumatismo maxilofacial se le va a considerar a un conjunto de lesiones y traumatismos que van afectar la región maxilofacial, la cual va a estar constituida por huesos de la cara y alveolar, músculos y tejido blando. La prevalencia de estas lesiones se va a ser más predisponentes en varones jóvenes, y las estructuras mayormente afectadas van a ser el maxilar inferior. Objetivo: determinar las características de los pacientes que acudieron por trauma facial al Centro Dental Docente de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, en el año 2023. Materiales y métodos: Se realizará un análisis y registro de todas las historias clínicas de los pacientes que acudieron por trauma facial al Centro Dental Docente de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, en el año 2023. Conclusiones: El estudio contribuirá con el entendimiento de la frecuencia y características de los pacientes con trauma facial, en crear protocolos de diagnóstico, tratamiento de estos pacientes, y se espera que los resultados obtenidos puedan orientar futuras investigaciones en el campo de la cirugía maxilofacial que se pueden presentar en el Centro Dental Docente de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.

Conclusions: The study will contribute to the understanding of the frequency and characteristics of patients with facial trauma, in creating diagnostic protocols, treatment of these patients, and It is expected that the results obtained can guide future research in the field of maxillofacial surgery that can be presented at the Dental Teaching Center of the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
