Conocimientos sobre el virus del papiloma humano e inmunización en estudiantes del 6to grado de primaria de una institución educativa, Lima-2023

Abstract

Dentro de las instituciones educativas existen estudiantes de distintas edades, costumbres y creencias; con diferentes maneras de analizar y hacer frente situaciones que ocurren en el día a día sobre todo desde el ámbito de la salud sexual, por tal motivo, poseer información acerca del VPH (virus del papiloma humano) e inmunizaciones es esencial. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el virus del papiloma humano e inmunización en estudiantes de 6to grado de primaria de la institución educativa Héroes de la Breña 112 - El Agustino, Lima - 2023. Material y métodos: Pesquisa cuantitativa, descriptiva y de corte transversal; fueron encuestados 80 estudiantes varones y mujeres; para la recolección de datos se usó un cuestionario modificado por las autoras que fue sometido a validez por expertos y prueba piloto (Kr20=0,752). Resultados: Del total de estudiantes, el 12,5% presentó conocimiento deficiente acerca del VPH y un 70% con nivel regular. El 8,7% tiene conocimientos deficientes en inmunización. Asimismo, la diferencia encontrada para el sexo y la edad, estadísticamente, no resultaron significativas (p=0,026 y p=0,027, respectivamente). Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento del virus e inmunización sobre el VPH en los estudiantes del 6to grado de primaria es regular.

Within educational institutions, there are students of different ages, customs and beliefs; with different ways of analyzing and dealing with situations that occur on a daily basis, especially in the field of sexual health, for this reason, having information about HPV (human papillomavirus) and immunizations is essential. Objective: Determine the level of knowledge about human papillomavirus and immunization in 6th grade primary school students at the educational institution Heroes de la Breña 112 - El Agustino, Lima - 2023. Material and methods: Quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional research cross; 80 male and female students were surveyed; To collect data, a questionnaire modified by the authors was used, which was subjected to validity by experts and pilot testing (Kr20=0.752). Results: Of the total number of students, 12.5% had poor knowledge about HPV and 70% had a regular level. 8.7% have deficient knowledge of immunization. Likewise, the difference found for sex and age was not statistically significant (p=0.026 and p=0.027, respectively). Conclusions: The level of knowledge of the virus and HPV immunization in 6th grade primary school students are regular.
