The objective of the study was to determine the impact of clinical mastitis (CM) on the Calving First Service Interval (CFSI), Calving Conception Inteval (CCI) and 305-day milk yield. It was a cross-sectional retrospective study carried out in 4 farms from Lima basin in Peru. We considered primiparous and multiparous cows classified as “with” and “without” clinical mastitis. The statistical analysis was an analysis of variance with factorial arrangement design. From the sample, 41.7% were primiparous and 58.3% multiparous cows, from where 17.7% presented mastitis before the first service. The Calving First Service Interval (CFSI), at farm 2, in the primiparous cows was 66.4 ± 25 and 88.1 ± 33.4 days in the groups of “without” and “with” mastitis; while the multiparous cows “without” and “with” mastitis were 68.1 ± 36.9 and 80.8 ± 24.1 days. At farm 3, primiparous cows “without” and “with” mastitis; and multiparous “without” and “with” mastitis had 90.2 ± 37.3, 96.6 ± 31.8; 82.3 ± 34.6 and 102.2 ± 30.9 days. The Calving Conception Inteval (CCI), at farm 2, in primiparous “without” and “with” mastitis; and in the multiparous cows “without” and “with” mastitis were 89.2 ± 38.9, 134.2 ± 87.1, 112.1 ± 61.1 and 119.8 ± 54.8 days. On farm 1, the primiparous cows “without” and “with” mastitis produced 8973.4 ± 2539.7 and 7611.3 ± 1751.4 liters and the multiparous cows “without” and “with” mastitis produced 9105.4 ± 22619.5 and 8810.7 ± 2441 liters. The results allow to conclude that the variable farm and the presence of clinical mastitis have an impact on the CFSI, CCI and 305-day milk yield.
