La violencia hacia la mujer es un grave problema de salud pública, que trae consecuencias graves a quienes la padecen, siendo esto resultado de una cultura patriarcal que impide el logro de igualdad de oportunidades en desventaja de la mujer. Los Centro de Emergencia Mujer brindan apoyo legal, social y psicológico a las agraviadas para la atención, erradicación y recuperación de las personas afectadas. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar si la atención que brindan los psicólogos a mujeres afectadas por violencia de los CEM del cono norte de Lima incluye el enfoque de género, tal como lo señala el protocolo de atención de este servicio, así como la percepción de su importancia. En cuanto a la metodología, fue un estudio cualitativo, el tipo de muestreo fue no probabilístico – intencional, la población estuvo conformada por seis psicólogas y dos psicólogos del servicio de psicología de dos CEM del cono norte de Lima; la técnica de recolección fue la entrevista y el instrumento fue una guía de preguntas y casos, que contuvo preguntas abiertas y casos simulados. Respecto a los resultados, se encontraron profesionales que hacen un correcto análisis de los casos desde el enfoque de género, pues reconocen que existen relaciones de poder desiguales en desventaja para las mujeres, profesionales que tienen conocimiento teórico del enfoque de género y de la violencia hacia la mujer en todas sus formas, pero no detectan el ejercicio de la violencia física, psicológica y sexual en el análisis de los casos relatados, profesionales que están abiertamente en contra del enfoque de género, porque no admiten que existen construcciones sociales y culturales de género que provocan relaciones desiguales de poder del hombre hacia la mujer y que están en la base de la violencia contra ellas. No todos han reconocido la violencia en los casos atendidos lo cual limitaría el acceso a la justicia y a la recuperación de su salud mental.Violence against women is a serious public health problem, which has serious consequences for those who suffer from it, this being the result of a patriarcal culture that prevent the achievement of equal opportunities to the disadvantage of women. The “Centro de Emergencia Mujer” provide legal, social and psychological support to the aggrieved for the care, eradication and recovery of the affected people. The objective of this research was to analyze wheter the care provided by psychologist to women affected by violence in the CEM of the northern cone of Lima includes a gender approach as indicated in the care protocol of this service, as well as the perception of its importance. Regarding the methodology, it was a qualitative study, the type of sampling was non- probabilistic-intencional, the population was made up of six psychologist and two pschologyst fron the psychology service from the CEM of the northern cone of Lima; the collecion technique was the interview and the instrument was a guide of questions and cases, wich contained open questions and simulated cases. Regarding the results, professionals who make a correcta analysis of the cases from the gender perspective were found, since they recognize that there are unequal power relations at a disadvantage for women, professionals who hace theoretical knowledge of the gender approach and violence against the woman in all its forms, but they do not detect the exercise of pshysical, psychological and sexual violence in the analysis of the reported cases, professionals who are openly against the gender approach, because the do not admit that there are social and cultural constructions of gender that cause unequal power relations between men and women and that are at the base of the violence against them. Not all have recognized the violence in the cases atended to, wich would limit Access to justice and the recovery of their mental health.
