Antecedentes: La colecistectomía laparoscópica es uno de los procedimientos quirúrgicos abdominales más frecuentemente realizados. Al estudiar la calidad de vida mediante herramientas de medición, siendo el Índice de calidad de vida gastrointestinal (GIQLI) uno de los más utilizados, se llega a evidenciar mejoría postcirugía, la cual se ve influenciada de forma positiva o negativa por diferentes factores sociodemográficos, antecedentes médicos, entre otros. Sin embargo, estos factores aún no han sido identificados de forma concluyente. Objetivo: Determinar y comparar la calidad de vida gastrointestinal en pacientes mayores de 18 años previo a cirugía y luego de 2 y 6 semanas postcolecistectomía laparoscópica mediante GIQLI, y determinar sus factores asociados. Métodos y Materiales: Estudio observacional analítico de cohorte prospectivo. Población de estudio compuesta por pacientes sometidos a colecistectomía laparoscópica no complicada en el departamento de Cirugía General del Hospital Cayetano Heredia durante noviembre 2022 a febrero 2023. Los factores, cuya asociación se buscó determinar fueron: sexo, edad, IMC, tipo de ingreso, antecedente de cirugía abdominal, severidad de la colecistitis según la Guía de Tokyo 2018 y comorbilidades. El análisis descriptivo consistió en descripción de proporciones, y para la estadística analítica se comparó las medias del puntaje GIQLI con cada factor estudiado, utilizando Chi cuadrado y T-test, considerando p < 0.05 como significativo. Resultados: Se reclutaron 45 pacientes (31 mujeres, 14 varones) con una media de edad de 47 años y una media de IMC de 26,9. Las comorbilidades más reportadas fueron hipertensión arterial y diabetes. El 44.4% (N=20) presentó el antecedente de cirugía previa. El 60% (N=27) de los pacientes fueron reclutados en consultorio externo del servicio de Cirugía General, y el 40% (N=18) por emergencia. En cuanto a la severidad de la colecistitis según la Guía de Tokyo 2018, el 17.7% (N=8) presentó grado I; vs 22,2% (N=10), grado II. Se determinó un aumento del puntaje GIQLI postoperatorio a las 2 y 6 semanas (105.8+/-10, 120.5+/-8). Pacientes del género femenino (p=0.008) y con un IMC mayor igual a 30 (p=0.0025) presentaron un puntaje GIQLI menor. Conclusión: La calidad de vida gastrointestinal aumenta significativamente a las 2 y 6 semanas posterior a la colecistectomía laparoscópica. En pacientes de género femenino y con obesidad se observa un menor puntaje GIQLI en el postoperatorio.

The descriptive analysis consisted of a description of proportions, and for the analytical statistics, the means of the GIQLI score were compared with each factor, using Chi-square and T-test, considering p < 0.05 as significant. In female patients with obesity, a lower GIQLI score is observed in the postoperative period.
