Introducción: El recién nacido prematuro pasa por distintos procedimientos que conlleva a un estrés que refleja el cuadro de irritabilidad, trastornos del sueño, trastornos a nivel fisiológicos, etc. Por ello, se quiere implementar más estrategias de método terapéutico como el masaje shantala para el beneficio de nuestro paciente, por consiguiente; se desea aplicar en este trabajo de investigación y así demostrar que este masaje puede ser un tipo de método terapéutico y que se podría considerar como un tratamiento y estrategia adicional al trabajo del profesional de Enfermería. Objetivo: Determinar la efectividad del masaje shantala en el manejo del estrés de los neonatos prematuros de la Unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales del Hospital Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz, Puente Piedra, 2022. Material y método: La investigación será de un enfoque cuantitativo y prospectivo, diseño experimental, de tipo cuasi experimental y de nivel explicativo. Se optará por una muestra no probabilística por conveniencia de 30 neonatos prematuros del servicio de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales. Se aplicará dos instrumentos ya validados y con confiabilidad demostrada, dos fichas de observación que constará de 8 preguntas una y la otra de 2 preguntas. Plan de análisis: Se realizará el análisis de la información, para esto se utilizará el programa de Excel (2010) ya que será para codificar todos los datos; seguidamente se aplicará la prueba estadística llamada “Rangos de Wilcoxon” para dos muestras relacionadas y por último se empleará el programa de estadística Statdistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versión 24.Introduction: The premature newborn goes through different procedures that lead to stress that reflects the picture of irritability, sleep disorders, physiological disorders, etc. Therefore, we want to implement more therapeutic method strategies such as shantala massage for the benefit of our patient, therefore; It is desired to apply in this research work and thus demonstrate that this massage can be a type of therapeutic method and that it could be considered as an additional treatment and strategy to the work of the Nursing professional. Material and method: The research will be of a quantitative and prospective approach, experimental design, quasi-experimental and explanatory level. A non-probabilistic convenience sample of 30 premature neonates from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit service will be chosen. Two instruments already validated and with proven reliability will be applied, two observation sheets that will consist of 8 questions, one and the other of 2 questions. Analysis plan: The analysis of the information will be carried out, for this the Excel program (2010) will be used since it will be to codify all the data; then the statistical test called "Wilcoxon Ranks" will be applied for two related samples and finally the statistical program Statdistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24 will be used.
