El cuidado emocional en el niño con VMP en la UCIP, es importante y puede ser entendido como la habilidad de sentir lo imperceptible, lo que no es visto fácilmente, necesitando de la enfermera un nivel de comprensión y empatía para entender las expresiones verbales y faciales del niño. Se busca ver más allá de la enfermedad, y poder comprender que necesita a nivel físico y emocional, para que se sienta bien durante su hospitalización a pesar de ser portador de VMP en una UCIP. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar que cuidados emocionales brinda la enfermera al niño con ventilación mecánica prolongada en un Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño en el año 2023. Material y método: investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental y transversal, la muestra estará conformada por 30 enfermeras. El instrumento será una guía de observación basada en 4 dimensiones: comunicación verbal, comuncación no verbal, familia y entorno, con un total de 22 preguntas, el cual fue modificado de acuerdo al marco teórico y será evaluado por juicio de expertos, después de ser aprobado se aplicará. Los resultados serán analizados por el programa estadístico SPSS versión 28. The instrument will be an observation guide based on 4 dimensions: verbal communication, non-verbal communication, family, and environment, with a total of 22 questions, which was modified according to the theoretical framework and will be evaluated by expert judgment, after being approved will be applied. The results will be analyzed by the statistical program SPSS version 28. Regarding the presentation, it will be in tables and graphs for subsequent descriptive analysis.
