La Trucha arcoíris (Oncorhynchus mykiss) es la especie acuícola que ha tenido un crecimiento sostenible en los últimos años en el Perú, pero presenta desafíos en contra de su productividad, como son las enfermedades de origen bacteriano, dentro de las cuales se puede observar la yersiniosis, cuyo agente causal es la Yersinia ruckeri, una de las enfermedades más prevalentes dentro de la truchicultura peruana. En el presente estudio se detectó la presencia de 7 genes que están asociados a la virulencia en 52 cepas patogénicas confirmadas bioquímica y molecularmente, provenientes de 4 centros acuícolas de las regiones de Junín y Lima. Se detectó la presencia de los 7 genes analizados con un patrón variable. Las 52 cepas analizadas fueron para los genes estudiados, siendo el gen uvrY (98%) el más frecuente, seguido de los genes yrpA (96%), barA (92%), yhlA (92%). El gen yrpB (27%) fue el menos frecuente. Se encontró 9 perfiles de las cepas de Y. ruckeri según la detección de genes de virulencia, lo cual sugiere la flexibilidad genómica de esta bacteria, no obstante, otros factores pudieron haber influido en la heterogeneidad de los datos obtenidos. La identificación de las frecuencias de las cepas que compartieron la mayor cantidad de determinantes de virulencia fue para rucC₊, yhlA₊, yrp1₊, yrpA₊, barA₊ y uvrY₊ que probablemente estarían afectando el cultivo de la trucha arcoíris. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que las cepas de Y. ruckeri aisladas de centros acuícolas de Junín y Lima, presentan locus genéticos que codifican para los principales factores de virulencia: proteasas, lipasas, hemolisinas y sideróforos.Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) is the aquaculture species that has had sustainable growth in recent years in Perú, and presents challenges against its productivity, such as bacterial diseases, among which the yersiniosis, whose causative agent is Yersinia ruckeri, one of the most prevalent diseases in Peruvian trout farming. In the present study, the presence of 7 genes that are associated with virulence was detected in 52 biochemically and molecularly confirmed pathogenic strains, from 4 aquaculture centers in the Junín and Lima regions. The presence of the 7 genes analyzed with a variable pattern was detected. The 52 strains analyzed were for the genes studied, being the uvrY gene (98%) the most frequent, followed by the yrpA (96%), barA (92%), and yhlA (92%) genes. The yrpB gene (27%) was the least frequent. Nine profiles were found according to the detection of virulence genes, which suggests the genomic flexibility of this bacterium, however other factors may have influenced the heterogeneity of the data obtained. The identification of the frequencies of the strains that shared the greatest number of virulence determinants was for rucC₊, yhlA₊, yrp1₊, yrpA₊, barA₊ and uvrY₊ that were probably affecting the cultivation of rainbow trout. The results obtained show that the Y. ruckeri strains isolated from aquaculture centers in Junín and Lima present genetic loci that code for the main virulence factors: proteases, lipases, hemolysins and siderophores.
