dc.description.abstract	Objetivo: analizar el agotamiento laboral del profesional de enfermería en el ejercicio del cuidado al paciente en el servicio de emergencia, según la evidencia científica. Metodología: revisión bibliográfica retrospectiva; se llevó a cabo la búsqueda de artículos originales en inglés, español y portugués publicados en el período del 2019 a 2023 en diversas bases de datos: SCIELO, PUBMED, ELSEVIER, EBSCO host, utilizando para ello, los operadores booleanos como “AND”, “OR” y “NOT”. Resultados: el análisis de los 30 artículos seleccionados permitió evidenciar que el agotamiento laboral es una de las patologías de alta prevalencia que afecta a los enfermeros/as de emergencia. Sus principales causas están relacionadas a la sobrecarga laboral, el estrés, el agotamiento emocional y trabajar en un área crítica. Tiene consecuencias en salud física y emocional del profesional de enfermería, así como en calidad de atención brindada al usuario. Conclusiones: El agotamiento laboral es altamente prevalente en los enfermeros que laboran en las áreas de emergencia, causado principalmente por el agotamiento emocional, la sobrecarga laboral y el estrés, afectando la salud física y emocional del profesional de enfermería, como la calidad del cuidado brindado al usuario atendido en el servicio de emergencia.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Objective: to analyze the job burnout of the nursing professional in the exercise of patient care in the emergency department, according to scientific evidence. Methodology: retrospective bibliographic review; a search of original articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese published in the period from 2019 to 2023 was carried out in several databases: MEDLINE, SCIELO, PUBMED, REDALYC, GOOGLE ACADEMIC, using Boolean operators such as "AND", "OR" and "NOT". Results: the analysis of the 30 selected articles showed that burnout is one of the most prevalent pathologies affecting emergency nurses. Its main causes are related to work overload, stress, emotional exhaustion and working in a critical area. It has consequences in physical and emotional health of the nursing professional, as well as in quality of care provided to the user. Conclusions: Work burnout is highly prevalent in nurses working in emergency areas, caused mainly by emotional exhaustion, work overload and stress, affecting the physical and emotional health of the nursing professional, as well as the quality of care provided to the user attended in the emergency department.	es_ES
