La presente investigación determinará la relación entre la autoeficacia general y la indiferencia vocacional en estudiantes de cuarto y quinto de secundaria de dos Instituciones Educativas Privadas de Lima Metropolitana. El estudio estuvo conformado por 110 adolescentes entre hombres y mujeres. Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo de diseño no experimental, corte transversal y alcance descriptivo-correlacional. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron de instrumentos la Escala de Autoeficacia General y la Escala de Indiferencia Vocacional (ANOMINDI). El resultado principal indica una relación negativa considerable (r= -0,506) ente la autoeficacia general y la indiferencia vocacional. Esto respalda la hipótesis de que a mayor autoeficacia general menor indiferencia vocacional; además se encontró una relación específica entre la autoeficacia y la dimensión de indiferencia académica (r= -0,384), desinterés profesional (r=-0,420), y hedonismo (r=-0,378). Estos hallazgos sugieren que la autoeficacia es un factor importante en la elección de una vocación. Además, se realizó la validez lingüística de la Escala de Indiferencia Vocacional (ANOMINDI), para facilitar futuros estudios en el contexto peruano.This research aims to determine the relationship between general self-efficacy and vocational indifference in fourth and fifth-grade high school students from two private educational institutions in Metropolitan Lima. The study included 110 adolescents of both genders. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, and descriptive-correlational scope was employed. Data collection utilized the General Self-Efficacy Scale and the Vocational Indifference Scale (ANOMINDI) as instruments. The main result indicates a significant negative relationship (r= -0.506) between general self-efficacy and vocational indifference. This supports the hypothesis that higher general self-efficacy is associated with lower vocational indifference. Furthermore, a specific relationship was found between self-efficacy and the dimensions of academic indifference (r= -0.384), professional disinterest (r= -0.420), and hedonism (r= -0.378). These findings suggest that self-efficacy is an important factor in vocational choice. Additionally, the linguistic validity of the Vocational Indifference Scale (ANOMINDI) was conducted to facilitate future studies in the Peruvian context.
