dc.description.abstract	Antecedentes: La mucormicosis Rino Orbito Cerebral es una infección por hongos mucorales, que produce angioinvasión y necrosis; la mortalidad varía según el género, la especie del hongo, la forma de presentación clínica, el antecedente sistémico, su estadio clínico, el momento de la cirugía y la extensión de la enfermedad. Objetivo: Determinar las características clínicas, factores de riesgos y mortalidad de mucormicosis Rino Orbito Cerebral en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Cayetano Heredia entre los años 2017 al 2022. Materiales y Métodos: La investigación es de tipo observacional, descriptiva y retrospectiva, se realizó la búsqueda e identificación de historias clínicas de pacientes con diagnóstico de mucormicosis en el Hospital Cayetano Heredia durante el periodo 2017 al 2022 y se recolectó la información mediante una ficha de notificación epidemiológica. Resultados: Las características clínicas asociadas a la mucormicosis Rino Orbito Cerebral son dolor sinusal, edema de la mucosa del tabique nasal, eritema de mucosa de tabique, úlcera en el paladar, osteomielitis, necrosis del tejido afectado, inflamación localizado, fiebre, eritema localizado, pérdida de visión, celulitis orbitaria, proptosis, rinorrea purulenta, signo de inflamación mucocutánea, edema local, edema periorbitario y oftalmoplejía; los factores de riesgo asociados a la mucormicosis Rino Orbito Cerebral son la diabetes, el COVID 19, herida quirúrgica, depresión, anemia, hipertensión arterial, hipercolesterolemia y VIH-SIDA; la mortalidad es de 28.6%. Conclusiones: Se halló una correlación significativa entre la oftalmoplejía y las etapas de mucormicosis Rino Orbito Cerebral.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Background: Rhino Orbito Cerebral mucormycosis is an infection by mucoral fungi, which produces angioinvasion and necrosis; mortality varies according to the genus, the species of the fungus, the form of clinical presentation, the systemic history, its clinical stage, the timing of surgery and the extent of the disease. Objective: Determine the clinical characteristics, risk factors and mortality of Rhino Orbito Cerebral mucormycosis in patients treated at the Cayetano Heredia Hospital between the years 2017 to 2022. Materials and Methods: The research is observational, descriptive and retrospective, the search and identification of medical records of patients with a diagnosis of mucormycosis at the Cayetano Heredia Hospital during the period 2017 to 2022 and the information was collected through an epidemiological notification form. Results: The clinical characteristics associated with Rhino Orbito Cerebral mucormycosis are sinus pain, edema of the nasal septal mucosa, erythema of the septal mucosa, ulcer on the palate, osteomyelitis, necrosis of the affected tissue, localized inflammation, fever, localized erythema, loss of vision, orbital cellulitis, proptosis, purulent rhinorrhea, sign of mucocutaneous inflammation, local edema, periorbital edema and ophthalmoplegia; the risk factors associated with Rhino Orbito Cerebral mucormycosis are diabetes, COVID 19, surgical wound, depression, anemia, high blood pressure, hypercholesterolemia and HIV-AIDS; mortality is 28.6%. Conclusions: A significant correlation was found between ophthalmoplegia and the stages of Rhino Orbito Cerebral mucormycosis.	es_ES
