Introducción: Los dientes supernumerarios (DS) son una alteración numérica en la dentición que representa una alta prevalencia. Su correcto diagnóstico permitirá un manejo adecuado de los pacientes, por lo que es importante la formación y experiencia del odontopediatra en este campo. La radiografía panorámica es la primera opción de ayuda al diagnóstico a través de imágenes, por ser un método no invasivo, sencillo y tolerable. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el plan de tratamiento de dientes supernumerarios ubicados en la zona anterosuperior mediante una evaluación clínica-radiográfica, de egresados de odontopediatría de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) desde el año 1993 hasta el año 2020. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio transversal, observacional, descriptivo. Se elaboró un conjunto de casos clínicos y radiográficos validado por un juicio de expertos, luego se envió un correo electrónico a los egresados de odontopediatría desde el año 1993 hasta el año 2020. Se analizaron los resultados de acuerdo con las variables del estudio. Para el análisis estadístico se aplicó la prueba de Chi cuadrado (95% y p <0.05) evaluando la asociación entre variables. Resultados: Los egresados presentaron un nivel de conocimiento alto (82.22%) con respecto al plan de tratamiento de dientes supernumerarios ubicados en la zona anterosuperior. Conclusión: El nivel de conocimiento sobre el plan de tratamiento de dientes supernumerarios ubicados en la zona anterosuperior mediante una evaluación clínica-radiográfica, de egresados de odontopediatría de la UPCH desde el año 1993 hasta el año 2020 fue alto; no obstante, las características (sexo, año de egreso y lugar de trabajo) de dichos egresados, no fueron estadísticamente significativas con respecto al nivel de conocimiento.Introduction: Supernumerary teeth (SD) are a numerical alteration in the dentition that represents a high prevalence. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about the treatment plan for supernumerary teeth located in the anterior-upper area through a clinical-radiographic evaluation of pediatric dentistry graduates from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) from year 1993 until the year 2020. Materials and Methods: Study transversal, observational, descriptive and retrospective. A set of clinical and radiographic cases validated by expert judgment was prepared, then an email was sent to pediatric dentistry graduates from year 1993 until the year 2020. The results were analyzed according to the study variables. For statistical analysis, the Chi square test was applied (95% and p <0.05) evaluating the association between variables. Results: The graduates presented a high level of knowledge (82.22%) regarding the treatment plan for supernumerary teeth located in the anterior-upper area. Conclusion: The level of knowledge about the treatment plan for supernumerary teeth located in the anterior-upper area through a clinical-radiographic evaluation of pediatric dentistry graduates from UPCH from year 1993 until the year 2020 was high, however, the characteristics (sex, year of graduation and place of work) of said graduates were not statistically significant with respect to the level of knowledge.
