Introducción: La tumoración ovárica es una patología común en mujeres, por lo cual es importante realizar un diagnóstico oportuno y descartar malignidad. Por lo tanto, tener datos sobre la prevalencia y tipo de tumor cobra relevancia. Actualmente en nuestro país no se tienen datos epidemiológicos recientes por lo cual planteamos un estudio que pueda esclarecer este tema.Objetivos: El objetivo del presente estudio es describir la prevalencia de tumores ováricos primarios según edad, histología y malignidad. Materiales y Métodos: Se llevará a cabo por medio de un estudio de tipo descriptivo transversal, teniendo como población a mujeres operadas en el hospital Cayetano Heredia que ingresan con el diagnóstico de tumoración ovárica entre los años 2023-2024 con resultados de estudios histológicos de dicha tumoración, teniendo como muestra mínima a 148 mujeres. Conclusiones: Este estudio brindará data epidemiológica actualizada acerca de la prevalencia de tumores ováricos, así como su clasificación histopatológica y edades.
Introduction: Ovarian tumor is a common pathology in women, so it is important to make an opportune diagnosis and rule out malignancy. Therefore, having data on the prevalence and type of tumor becomes relevant. Currently in our country there is no recent epidemiological data, which is why we propose a study that can clarify this issue. Objectives: The objective of this study is to describe the prevalence of primary ovarian tumors according to age, histology, and malignancy. Materials and Methods: It will be carried out through a descriptive transversal study, in which population are women operated at Cayetano Heredia Hospital who were admitted with a diagnosis of ovarian tumor between the years 2023-2024 with histological results, having as a minimum sample 148 women. Conclusions: This study will provide updated epidemiological data on the prevalence of ovarian tumors and their histopathological classification for age.
