Antecedentes: El Síndrome de Guillain-Barré (SGB) es una patología autoinmune del sistema nervioso periférico con repercusión significativa en la salud por su letalidad y secuelas, además de altos costos intrahospitalarios. En el Perú, ocurrieron dos brotes entre los años 2021 y 2023, lo que llevó al Ministerio de Salud a establecer normativas estandarizadas para la vigilancia epidemiológica y el diagnóstico. Objetivo: Verificar el cumplimiento de la atención estandarizada por la normativa del MINSA en el Hospital Cayetano Heredia respecto al diagnóstico y tratamiento del Síndrome de Guillain-Barré. Métodos y materiales: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y retrospectivo. Se revisó las historias clínicas y fichas epidemiológicas de pacientes atendidos en el hospital con diagnóstico de SGB entre 2021 y 2023. La recolección de datos se llevó a cabo mediante una ficha. La información se almacenó en Microsoft Excel 2021 y se analizó con STATA 17. Resultados: Se revisó 39 historias clínicas, de las cuales 31 (79,5%) tenían el diagnóstico confirmado de SGB. De estos, 29 (93,5%) contaban con ficha epidemiológica y en 11 (37,9%) se utilizó el formato vigente. Si bien la mayoría de las fichas fueron abiertas dentro de las primeras 48 horas (86,2%), el 65,5% presentaron ítems sin registrar. Respecto al tratamiento, el 83,9% de los pacientes recibió inmunoglobulina endovenosa y el 3,2% recibió plasmaféresis, mientras que el 12,9% no recibió ningún tratamiento, incumpliendo las recomendaciones. Un aspecto relevante, fue constatar que solo el 12,9% de los pacientes que sobrevivieron, recibieron terapia física pos-alta. Conclusiones: El cumplimiento de las normativas del MINSA fue parcial, con llenado deficiente en el uso de fichas epidemiológicas, pruebas diagnósticas y tratamientos. Es esencial mejorar la capacitación del personal de salud, la coordinación entre equipos y asegurar recursos adecuados.

Objective: Verify compliance with standardized care according to MINSA regulations at Cayetano Heredia Hospital regarding the diagnosis and treatment of Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Methods and Materials: A descriptive and retrospective study was conducted. Clinical records and epidemiological forms of patients treated at the hospital with a diagnosis of GBS between 2021 and 2023 were reviewed. Data collection was carried out using a structured form. Information was stored in Microsoft Excel 2021 and analyzed with STATA 17. Results: A total of 39 clinical records were reviewed, of which 31 (79.5%) had a confirmed diagnosis of GBS. Among these, 29 (93.5%) had an epidemiological form, and in 11 (37.9%) the current format was used. Although most forms were initiated within the first 48 hours (86.2%), 65.5% had unrecorded items. Regarding treatment, 83.9% of patients received intravenous immunoglobulin, and 3.2% received plasmapheresis, while 12.9% did not receive any treatment, failing to comply with recommendations. Notably, only 12.9% of the patients who survived received post-discharge physical therapy. Conclusion: Compliance with MINSA regulations was partial, with deficiencies in the use of epidemiological forms, diagnostic tests, and treatments. It is essential to improve the training of health personnel, enhance coordination between teams, and ensure adequate resources.
