dc.description.abstract	Introducción: Durante la formación odontológica, las perforaciones radiculares representan una complicación frecuente en el tratamiento endodóntico, afectando el pronóstico del tratamiento. El tratamiento endodóntico busca eliminar infecciones del sistema de conductos, preservando la pieza dental y previniendo reinfecciones. Las perforaciones son accidentes intraoperatorios que pueden deberse al desconocimiento de la anatomía dentaria, raíces curvadas, desgaste excesivo, angulación incorrecta y falta de experiencia. Su incidencia de estudios previos es baja en Perú. Esta ausencia de datos evidencia la necesidad de investigaciones que analicen la frecuencia de este tipo de iatrogenia en el ámbito endodóntico en alumnos de Pregrado. Objetivo: Determinar la frecuencia de perforaciones radiculares durante tratamientos endodónticos en estudiantes de pregrado de una facultad de odontología de Lima, Perú en el año 2025. Materiales y Métodos: El estudio será transversal. La población estará constituida por historias clínicas de Pacientes adultos atendidos en el Centro Dental Docente de la Facultad de Estomatología de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, aprobadas por el docente especialista a cargo y con el consentimiento informado firmado. La selección de la muestra se realizará mediante un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, considerando aquellas historias clínicas que cumplan con los criterios de inclusión previamente establecidos. Las variables del presente estudio serán: perforaciones radiculares, tratamiento endodóntico, sexo, edad, año de estudio, tipo de pieza dentaria, ubicación de la perforación. Se usará la prueba de Chi-cuadrado al 95% IC. Conclusiones: Este estudio proporcionará información valiosa sobre las complicaciones más frecuentes en tratamientos endodónticos, como las perforaciones radiculares, fortaleciendo los protocolos de enseñanza clínica y promoviendo la implementación de estrategias preventivas. Se espera reducir el riesgo de errores iatrogénicos, optimizar el pronóstico de los tratamientos y garantizar una mejor calidad en la atención al paciente.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Introduction: During dental training, root perforations represent a frequent complication in endodontic treatment, affecting the prognosis of the treatment. Endodontic treatment seeks to eliminate infections of the canal system, preserving the tooth and preventing reinfections. Perforations are intraoperative accidents that may be due to lack of knowledge of the dental anatomy, curved roots, excessive wear, incorrect angulation and lack of experience. Their incidence in previous studies is low in Peru. This lack of data shows the need for research to analyze the frequency of this type of iatrogenesis in the endodontic field in undergraduate students. Objective: To determine the frequency of root perforations during endodontic treatment in undergraduate students of a dental school in Lima, Peru in the year 2025. Materials and Methods: The study will be cross-sectional. The population will be constituted by clinical histories of adult patients attended at the Teaching Dental Center of the School of Stomatology of the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, approved by the specialist in charge and with signed informed consent. The selection of the sample will be made by non-probabilistic convenience sampling, considering those medical records that meet the previously established inclusion criteria. The variables of the present study will be: root perforations, endodontic treatment, sex, age, year of study, type of tooth, location of the perforation. The Chi-square test at 95% CI will be used. Conclusions: This study is important because it provides us with interesting data on the most common complications during endodontic treatment, which are root perforations, contributing to the teaching protocols given by teachers at the formative level, implementing preventive strategies against iatrogenic errors, reducing the risk and frequency of complications, improving the prognosis of the treatments.	es_ES
