dc.description.abstract	Introducción: La recesión gingival es el desplazamiento del margen gingival apical de la unión cemento esmalte provocando en muchas personas sensibilidad dental, caries radicular y falta de armonía estética gingival. Por ello, es primordial su diagnóstico y tratamiento. La clasificación de Miller (1985) ha sido la más empleada para su diagnóstico, sin embargo, presenta muchas limitaciones. Cairo (2011) plantea otra clasificación para identificar la severidad de la recesión y el pronóstico en el tratamiento dando un parámetro de diagnóstico más confiable y con mayor repercusión positiva en la aplicación clínica. Lamentablemente existe escasa información sobre la frecuencia de recesiones gingivales en nuestro sistema de salud para así mejorar las políticas de salud pública para el beneficio de la población. Objetivo: Determinar la frecuencia de recesiones gingivales en pacientes que acuden a un Centro Dental Docente, Lima-Perú, 2015-2024. Materiales y métodos: Es un estudio de tipo transversal. La información se obtendrá de las historias clínicas del Servicio de Periodoncia e Implantes del Centro Dental Docente, de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima-Perú, 2015-2024. Se realizará un análisis descriptivo y bivariado de las variables del estudio en función de los resultados encontrados. Conclusiones: Los resultados del estudio serán significativos porque servirán como precedentes para futuros estudios similares. Así también, es relevante realizar esta investigación porque aportará a constatar que las recesiones gingivales se manifiestan con una alta frecuencia, por ende, que requerirán precisar políticas de salud pública en el país para mejorar la salud gingival de la población.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Introduction: Gingival recession is the displacement of the apical gingival margin of the cement-enamel junction, causing dental sensitivity, root caries and lack of gingival aesthetic harmony. Therefore, it´s diagnosis and treatment is essential. Miller's classification (1985) has been the most used for diagnosis, however, it has many limitations. Cairo (2011) proposes another classification to identify the severity of the recession and the prognosis in treatment, giving a more reliable diagnostic parameter with a greater positive impact on clinical application. Unfortunately, there is little information on the frequency of gingival recessions in our health system to improve public health policies for the benefit of the population. Objective: Determine the frequency of gingival recessions in patients treated at a Teaching Dental Center, Lima-Peru, 2015-2024. Materials and methods: It is a cross-sectional study. The information will be obtained from the medical records of the Periodontics and Implants Service of the Teaching Dental Center of the Peruvian Cayetano Heredia University Lima-Peru, 2015-2024. A descriptive and bivariate analysis of the study variables will be carried out based on the results found. Conclusions: The results of the study will be significant because they will serve as precedents for future similar studies. Likewise, it is relevant to carry out this research because it will help to confirm that gingival recessions occur with a high frequency, therefore, they will require specifying public health policies in the country to improve the gingival health of the population.	es_ES
