Introducción: La mayoría de estudios sobre la estabilidad del color en brackets estéticos son internacionales y analizan el efecto de bebidas y alimentos típicos de cada país. Objetivo: Evaluar in vitro la estabilidad del color de brackets cerámicos utilizando un espectrofotómetro dental (Easyshade Compact) frente a soluciones pigmentantes peruanas. Materiales y métodos: Se expusieron brackets cerámicos Morelli a café, chicha morada, Inka Kola y té de coca durante 24, 48 y 72 horas, simulando el ambiente bucal en laboratorio. La medición del color se realizó antes y después de la inmersión, utilizando el promedio de tres lecturas por muestra. Conclusión: Este estudio aportará evidencia sobre la estabilidad del color de brackets cerámicos frente a bebidas peruanas. Se utilizará una metodología estandarizada para evaluar su comportamiento óptico. Los resultados permitirán orientar la práctica clínica y la elección de materiales más duraderos.Introduction: Most studies on color stability in esthetic brackets are international and analyze the effect of beverages and foods typical of each country. Objective: To evaluate in vitro the color stability of ceramic brackets using a dental spectrophotometer (Easyshade Compact) against Peruvian pigment solutions. Materials and methods: Morelli ceramic brackets were exposed to coffee, chicha morada, Inka Kola and coca tea for 24, 48 and 72 hours, simulating the oral environment in the laboratory. The color was measured before and after immersion, using the average of three readings per sample. Conclusion: This study will provide evidence on the color stability of ceramic brackets against Peruvian beverages. A standardized methodology will be used to evaluate their optical behavior. The results will guide clinical practice and the selection of more durable materials.
