Este estudio tuvo como objetivo principal evaluar el efecto de la curva de refrigeración y la adición de aceite de Sacha Inchi sobre las características espermáticas de semen ovino; para ello se utilizaron 4 carneros de la raza Asblack, de quienes se obtuvo un promedio de dos colectas por semana hasta completar un total de 16 colectas. Las muestras fueron mezcladas en un pool para eliminar el efecto macho y se diluyó con un dilutor enriquecido con y sin Sacha Inchi (dilutor base - DB y dilutor enriquecido - DS); luego de la dilución se utilizó dos curvas de refrigeración para mantener el semen a 5°, y este se evalúo periódicamente desde las 0 hasta las 96 horas de conservación post dilución. Se halló una diferencia significativa sobre la motilidad y la integridad de membrana con la aplicación de una curva de refrigeración rápida, más no hubo una diferencia en la adición de aceite de Sacha Inchi al dilutor.The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the cooling curve and the addition of Sacha Inchi oil on the sperm characteristics of ovine semen; for this purpose, 4 rams of the Asblack breed were used, from which an average of two collections per week were obtained until completing a total of 16 collections. The samples were mixed in a pool to eliminate the male effect and were diluted with a diluent enriched with and without Sacha Inchi (base diluent - DB and enriched diluent - DS); after dilution, two refrigeration curves were used to maintain the semen at 5°, and it was evaluated periodically from 0 to 96 hours of post-dilution conservation. A significant difference on motility and membrane integrity was found with the application of a rapid cooling curve, but there was no difference with the addition of Sacha Inchi oil to the diluent.
