Introducción: En odontología se utiliza una amplia gama de compuestos en los materiales dentales con diversas propiedades fisicoquímicas; la colocación de estos materiales en la cavidad bucal puede alterar su composición por diversos factores por lo que es necesario el estudio de estos cambios. Mediante el presente portafolio se analizará las estrategias para realizar un curso, el desarrollo de un silabo y un proyecto de investigación in vitro de los cambios estructurales de los brackets a la exposición de bebidas carbonatadas. Desarrollo temático: Se realizó un silabo, un análisis crítico de literatura y un proyecto de investigación de los cambios estructurales de los brackets metálicos al ser expuestos a bebidas carbonatadas. Conclusiones: El desarrollo de los trabajos descritos permitirá al profesional odontólogo contar e implementar un instrumento que orienta tanto al docente como al estudiante en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje mediante el silabo. Así mismo el análisis crítico de literatura del artículo de revisión nos permite evaluar críticamente la calidad del artículo y demostrar que el autor ha investigado ampliamente la literatura. Finalmente, el proyecto de investigación permitirá al Ortodoncista elegir el juego de bracket metálico ideal con tendencias mínimas de rugosidad y menor fricción. Así como también se podrá manifestar al paciente de las alteraciones que se producen en los brackets al ser instalados en las piezas dentales de la cavidad oral expuestas a bebidas carbonatadas.Introduction: In dentistry, a wide range of compounds are used in dental materials with diverse physicochemical properties; The placement of these materials in the oral cavity can alter its composition due to various factors, which is why it is necessary to study these changes.
