dc.description.abstract	Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de incertidumbre y su relación con factores sociodemográficos en padres de recién nacidos prematuros hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales (UCIN) de un Hospital de nivel III de Ayacucho, 2025. Material y método: el estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño descriptivo-correlacional y de corte transversal. La muestra estará conformada por 104 padres. El nivel de incertidumbre se medirá con la Escala de Incertidumbre frente a la Enfermedad – Forma Padre/Hijo de Merle Mishel, la cual consta de 31 ítems, reporta una confiabilidad con un alfa de Cronbach de 0.90, y su validez de constructo ha sido confirmado mediante análisis factorial. Los factores sociodemográficos se recopilarán mediante una ficha, la cual será validada a través de juicio de expertos y la prueba piloto. Ambos instrumentos han sido traducidos al quechua chanka para mejor comprensión por la población quechua hablante. Análisis de datos: Los datos se procesarán en Microsoft Excel 2016 y se analizarán con el software Stata. Para evaluar la relación entre variables, se empleará la prueba de Chi-cuadrado de independencia y el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, considerando un nivel de confianza de 95% y estableciendo la existencia de relación estadísticamente significativa con un valor de p <0.05.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Objective: To determine the level of uncertainty and its relationship with sociodemographic factors in parents of premature newborns hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a Level III Hospital in Ayacucho, 2025. Materials and methods: This study uses a quantitative approach, with a descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 104 parents. The level of uncertainty was measured using the Uncertainty in the Face of Illness Scale – Parent/Child Form by Merle Mishel. This scale consists of 31 items, reports a reliability with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.90, and its construct validity has been confirmed through factor analysis. Sociodemographic factors will be collected using a form, which will be validated through expert judgment and pilot testing. Both instruments have been translated into Chanka Quechua for better understanding by the Quechua-speaking population. Data analysis: Data will be processed in Microsoft Excel 2016 and analyzed using Stata software to assess the relationship between variables. The chi-square test of independence and Spearman's correlation coefficient will be used, considering a 95% confidence level and establishing the existence of a statistically significant relationship with a p-value <0.05.	es_ES
