La pandemia del SARS-CoV - 2 (COVID-19) ha abordado la importancia que existe en proteger la salud mental de los ciudadanos y personal de salud. Una población muy afectada es el profesional de enfermería, este tiene como principal finalidad cuidar y conservar la vida de quien está a su cargo, satisfaciendo las necesidades del paciente. Sin embargo, el cuidado que se les da a varios pacientes conlleva a situaciones estresantes y convierte al profesional en una persona vulnerable de padecer afecciones físicas y psicológicas. La salud mental del personal de enfermería se encuentra en constante riesgo ya que la pandemia afecta directamente su autocuidado, donde destaca el estrés a la salud física y mental e incluso puede llevar a la depresión y ansiedad. Objetivo: Determinar el impacto en la salud mental del personal de enfermería que labora en el servicio de emergencia COVID-19, Hospital Ricardo Cruzado Rivarola Nazca 2021. Material y método: Estudio de tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal. Se aplicará el instrumento a 30 profesionales de enfermería. Plan de análisis: La información será codificada y convertida a una base de datos, para lo cual se utilizará el programa de Excel 2016, se empleará un paquete estadístico como SPSS.The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic (COVID-19) has addressed the importance of protecting the mental health of citizens and health personnel. Material and method: Descriptive, cross-sectional study. The instrument will be applied to 30 nursing professionals. Analysis plan: The information has been collected, it will be coded and converted to a database, for which the Excel 2016 program will be used, a statistical package such as SPSS will be used.
