En los países desarrollados, la prevalencia de partos prematuros es alrededor del 5 al 10%, se les considera aquellos que nacen antes de las 37 semanas de gestación, asimismo, la prematuridad es una de las principales causas de la alteración del neurodesarrollo que puede dejar secuelas; por lo que representa un problema para la salud pública. Por ello el objetivo será determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la práctica de enfermería sobre los cuidados centrados en el neurodesarrollo del prematuro en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales. Estudio de tipo cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal; la población estará constituida por 45 licenciadas de enfermería de un hospital nacional que cumplen con los criterios de inclusión y se aplicará el muestro censal; las técnicas que se utilizarán son: la encuesta y la observación; el instrumento que medirá el nivel de conocimiento sobre los cuidados en el neurodesarrollo será el cuestionario y se empleara un segundo instrumento como la lista de cotejo que medirá la práctica, para tabulación y el análisis estadístico se manejará el programa Microsoft Excel y el SPSS versión 26, y la prueba de hipótesis será la Chi-Cuadrado, para muestras no paramétricas.In developed countries, the prevalence of premature births is around 5 to 10%, they are considered those that are born before 37 weeks of gestation, likewise, prematurity is one of the main causes of neurodevelopmental alteration that can leave aftermath; Therefore, it represents a problem for public health.
