El presente trabajo monográfico tiene como objetivo: Describir la evidencia científica sobre la prevención del Síndrome del Túnel Carpiano (STC) en el lugar de trabajo. Material y método: Estudio de tipo documental, mediante la revisión bibliográfica. Se emplearon los descriptores del síndrome de túnel carpiano, encontrándose 30 artículos entre los años 2018 a 2022. Resultados: Del 100% (30) de artículos revisados, el 87% (26) fueron de PubMed, 7% (2) de Google académico. Respecto al país, el 17% (5) fueron de EE. UU y el 10%(3) de Italia. También el 30% (9) fueron del año 2018, el 20% (6). Según idioma, el 87% (26) fueron en inglés y 13% (4) en español. Según metodología, el 70% (21) fueron cuantitativos y el 30% (9) de revisión sistemática. Según la descripción y eficacia, son eficaces en la prevención del STC: Reducción de carga manual y número de horas en el trabajo, ajustes en el trabajo y pausas activas 23% (7), Ergonomía adecuada 17% (5), ejercicios de muñeca y mano 10% (3). Contrariamente demostraron ser poco eficaces: El 3% (1) los ejercicios de muñeca y mano, acupuntura más terapia física, herramienta de predicción a través del tiempo, así mismo el 3% (1) los ejercicios de mano y muñeca y más aplicación de terapia enzimática, son ineficaces en la prevención del STC. Conclusiones: Las intervenciones más eficaces en la prevención del STC son la reducción de carga manual, número de horas y pausas activas.This monographic work aims to: Describe the scientific evidence on the prevention of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) in the workplace. Material and method: Documentary study, through literature review. The descriptors of carpal tunnel syndrome were used, finding 30 articles between the years 2018 to 2022. Results: Of the 100% (30) of articles reviewed, 87% (26) were from PubMed, 7% (2) from academic Google. Regarding the country, 17% (5) were from the USA and 10% (3) from Italy. According to the description and efficacy, they are effective in the prevention of CTS: Reduction of manual load and number of hours at work, adjustments at work and active breaks 23% (7), Adequate ergonomics 17% (5), wrist exercises and hand 10% (3). On the contrary, they proved to be ineffective: 3% (1) wrist and hand exercises, acupuncture plus physical therapy, prediction tool over time, likewise 3% (1) hand and wrist exercises and more application of enzyme therapy, are ineffective in preventing CTS. Conclusions: The most effective interventions in the prevention of CTS are the reduction of manual load, number of hours and active breaks.
