Antecedentes: Los teléfonos móviles son artículos cotidianos vistos en distintos ámbitos, manipulados sin algún tipo de restricción o recomendaciones de fábrica para su cuidado y/o desinfección, siendo así que constituyen una gran fuente de contaminación. El hacer uso de teléfonos móviles dentro de un quirófano, podría incrementar el contagio intrahospitalario y la propagación bacteriana, propagación de virus y hongos debido a la gran cantidad de patógenos hallada en sus superficies. Objetivo: Determinar la presencia de patógenos presentes en los teléfonos móviles del personal de enfermería que labora en un quirófano del Hospital Cayetano Heredia. Material y método: Proyecto observacional, analítico, cuantitativo, transversal y prospectivo. La población estará constituida por los teléfonos móviles del personal de enfermería que labora en centro quirúrgico del Hospital Cayetano Heredia y que deseen participar voluntariamente, los hisopados serán procesados en medios de cultivos con agares específicos para la determinación de patógenos. Plan de análisis: La información recopilada será codificada y digitada en una hoja de cálculo creada en el programa Excel® Microsoft 365 para su análisis con el software estadístico Stata 17.0 para la presentación de los gráficos descriptivos.Background: Mobile phones are everyday items seen in different areas, handled without any type of restriction or factory recommendations for their care and/or disinfection, thus constituting a great source of contamination. Using mobile phones in an operating room could increase in-hospital contagion and bacterial spread, spread of viruses and fungi due to the large number of pathogens found on their surfaces. Objective: To determine the presence of pathogens present in the mobile phones of nursing staff working in an operating room at the Cayetano Heredia Hospital. Material and method: Observational, analytical, quantitative, cross-sectional and prospective project. The population will be made up of the mobile phones of the nursing staff who work in the surgical center of the Cayetano Heredia Hospital and who wish to participate voluntarily, the swabs will be processed in culture media with specific agers for the determination of pathogens. Analysis plan: The information collected will be encoded and typed into a spreadsheet created in the Microsoft 365 Excel® program for analysis with the statistical software Stata 17.0 for the presentation of descriptive graphs.
