El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar la relación que existe entre el control inhibitorio, las estrategias de aprendizaje y el rendimiento académico en matemáticas en estudiantes de educación secundaria de un colegio privado de Huaral. Siendo una investigación no experimental transversal del nivel correlacional. La muestra estuvo compuesta por los 125 estudiantes del 3º, 4° y 5º de secundaria, de ambos sexos. Siendo las variables de estudio el control inhibitorio, estrategias de aprendizaje y rendimiento académico en áreas de matemática. El instrumento para medir el control inhibitorio fue el Test de Colores y Palabras de Stroop y para las estrategias de aprendizaje se utilizó la Escala de Estrategias de Aprendizaje – ACRA. Como resultado se encontró una correlación de Pearson de 0.410 entre el control inhibitorio y el rendimiento académico en matemáticas, así mismo, una correlación de Pearson de 0.234 entre las estrategias de aprendizaje y el rendimiento académico en matemáticas. Del estudio se concluye principalmente que existe una correlación positiva entre el control inhibitorio y el rendimiento académico en matemáticas, del mismo modo con las estrategias de aprendizaje; pero en menor significancia.The objective of the research was to analyze the relationship between inhibitory control, learning strategies and academic performance in mathematics in high school students of a private school in Huaral. It was a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational research. The sample was composed of 125 students of 3rd, 4th and 5th year of high school, of both sexes. The study variables were inhibitory control, learning strategies and academic performance in mathematics. The instrument used to measure inhibitory control was the Stroop Colors and Words Test and for learning strategies the Learning Strategies Scale - ACRA. As a result, a Pearson correlation of 0.410 was found between inhibitory control and academic performance in mathematics, as well as a Pearson correlation of 0.234 between learning strategies and academic performance in mathematics. The main conclusion of the study is that there is a positive correlation between inhibitory control and academic performance in mathematics, as well as with learning strategies, but to a lesser extent.
