Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados al no uso de métodos anticonceptivos modernos en mujeres de 15 a 49 años en el Perú en el 2017. Métodos: Observacional, transversal, retrospectivo, siendo la unidad de análisis la mujer en edad fértil. La población fue mujeres en edad fértil de 15 a 49 años de edad, de la Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Familiar 2017, para ser parte de la muestra se excluía a las embarazadas en el momento de la encuesta. Siendo las variables independientes edad, estado civil, grado de instrucción, labora, urbanización, región, número de hijos que tiene, embarazos que no terminaron, idioma, número de niños viviendo, edad de la primera relación sexual, índice de riqueza y la variable dependiente el uso de anticonceptivos modernos. Para el análisis bivariado se empleó el Odds Ratio (OR) y para el análisis multivariado la regresión logística múltiple, realizando la evaluación de los supuestos correspondientes. Se utilizó un nivel de confianza del 95%. Resultados: El uso de métodos anticonceptivos en mujeres de 15 a 49 años en el Perú fue de 14 724 siendo un 58.75%. De acuerdo a la regresión logística múltiple (OR ajustado) al Uso de método anticonceptivo se tiene que el tener pareja; el tener primaria, secundaria y educación alta; el tener 3 y 4 a más niños viviendo con la madre; de acuerdo al índice de riqueza ser de clase pobre y media disminuyen el no uso de métodos anticonceptivos modernos. Por otro lado, se tiene que el grupo edad de 24 - 30 años, 31 – 38 años, 39 – 49 años; el no estar juntos con su pareja; el vivir en el resto de la costa, sierra, selva; el no haber terminado un embarazo previo; el hablar idiomas como en la sierra, selva aumenta el no uso de métodos anticonceptivos modernos, luego de realizar los ajustes con las otras variables. Conclusión: De acuerdo a la regresión logística múltiple (OR ajustado) al Uso de método anticonceptivo se tiene que la edad, estado civil, grado de instrucción, labora e idioma aumenta la probabilidad de no usar de métodos anticonceptivos modernos, luego de realizar los ajustes con las otras variables.Objective: To determine the factors associated with the non-use of modern contraceptive methods in women aged 15 to 49 years in Peru in 2017. On the other hand, the age group 24 - 30 years old, 31 - 38 years old, 39 - 49 years old; not being together with your partner; living in the rest of the coast, sierra, jungle; not having terminated a previous pregnancy; speaking languages like in the mountains, jungle increases the non-use of modern contraceptive methods, after making adjustments with the other variables. Conclusion: According to the multiple logistic regression (adjusted OR) to the Use of contraceptive method, it is found that age, marital status, level of education, work and language increases the probability of not using modern contraceptive methods, after making the adjustments with the other variables.
