La Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos es un área donde se brindan atenciones las cuales están basadas en protocolos, procesos y legalmente constituida únicamente para atender al paciente en estado crítico o de inestabilidad. Respecto a la familia, debe estar constantemente recibiendo educación relacionada a los cuidados del paciente con la finalidad que puedan participar en la recuperación del mismo durante la estadía en dicha área; todo esto se dará a través de una comunicación efectiva. En esta área el paciente no puede valerse por sí mismo, por ello sus familiares directos tienen total responsabilidad sobre él, los familiares estarán en constante comunicación con la enfermera quien se encargará de brindar información. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de satisfacción de la comunicación enfermero – familiar del paciente. Presenta un enfoque cuantitativo porque se encargará de recolectar datos, también es descriptivo y de corte transversal. A través de un instrumento tipo encuesta el cual será aplicado en una población de 54 familiares.The Intensive Care Unit is an area where care is provided which is based on protocols, processes and legally constituted only to care for the patient in critical or unstable condition.
