La población que presenta alguna malformación craneofacial como los niños con fisura labio alveolo palatina (FLAP) ha sido un área poco estudiada en cuanto al desarrollo de su lenguaje oral y sus dimensiones. Esta población suele presentar dificultades en el habla, afectando a su vez el ámbito escolar y social, teniendo en cuenta el grado y severidad de la lesión. En el estudio fue de gran importancia algunas variables sociodemográficas como el lugar de procedencia. Objetivo: Identificar el perfil de desarrollo del lenguaje oral en los niños con fisuras labio alveolo palatinas de 4, 5 y 6 años de una organización, en las dimensiones forma, contenido y uso, así como también describir la relación que existe entre el género, tipo de fisura, grado de severidad, número de cirugía y lugar de procedencia. Material y Métodos: Fue un estudio observacional y de tipo descriptivo - transversal. El tamaño muestral fue de 65 niños con fisuras labio alveolo palatinas de 4, 5 y 6 años atendidos en la organización Qorito. Se utilizó la Prueba de Lenguaje Oral Navarra - Revisada (PLON - R) a toda la población que aceptó participar. En el plan de análisis se gestionaron los datos obtenidos y fueron reservados en una base de datos Microsoft Excel 2010 y fueron procesados con el programa estadístico IBM SPSS versión 21 en español. Resultados: El desarrollo del lenguaje oral, en niños de 4 años, el 76,2% están en el nivel de “retraso”, el 9,5% de “Necesita mejorar” y un 14,3% en un nivel “Normal”. En los niños de 5 años, el 33,3% se ubican en un nivel de “Retraso”, el 16,7% de “Necesita mejorar” y un 50% en un nivel “Normal”. En niños de 6 años, el 30% están en un nivel de “Retraso”, el 20% en de “Necesita mejorar" y el 50% en un nivel de “Normal”. Al valorar la asociación entre las dimensiones del lenguaje y las demás variables se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en relación al desarrollo de su lenguaje. Conclusiones: La aplicación del PLON - R permitió concluir el nivel de desarrollo de lenguaje oral en la población estudiada; Además muestra diferencias entre las variables sociodemográficas y las variables intervinientes.The population that presents some craniofacial malformation such as children with cleft lip and palate (FLAP)) has been an area little studied in terms of oral language development and its dimensions. Materials and methods: It was an observational and descriptive - cross-sectional study. The sample size was of 65 children with cleft lip and palate (CLP) from 4, 5 and 6 years attented in the organization Qorito. It was used the Leangue Oral Navarra – Revisada (PLON – R) test to all pepople who aceppted to participe. In the analysis plan, the data obtained was exported, they were reserverd in a Microsoft Excel 2010 database and processed in the stadistic program IBSM SPSS versión 21 in Spanish. Results: Regarding the development of oral language, in 4-year-old children, 76.2% are at the "delay" level, 9.5% "Need to improve" and 14.3% at a "Normal" level.”. In 5-year-old children, 33.3% are located at a "Delayed" level of oral language, 16.7% as "Needs to improve" and 50% at a "Normal" level. In 6-year-old children, 30% are at a "Delayed" level, 20% at "Needs to improve" and 50% at a "Normal" level. When assessing the association between the language dimensions and the other variables mentioned, statistically significant differences were found in relation to the development of their language. Conclusions: The application of the PLON-R allowed us to determine the level of oral language development in the studied population; It also shows differences between the sociodemographic variables and the intervening variables.
