El presente es un estado del arte sobre el uso de la red social Discord como plataforma de comunicación y colaboración en la educación superior en Iberoamérica. El cual, surge en respuesta a la creciente relevancia del uso de tecnologías de información en la educación superior y en particular del uso de redes sociales. Para ello, se realizó una revisión de estudios e investigaciones, con un enfoque cualitativo y descriptivo. Los resultados evidencian que Discord ha ganado popularidad como herramienta versátil para la comunicación y colaboración entre estudiantes y docentes en instituciones de educación superior. Sin embargo, basándonos en los hallazgos, es necesario hacer investigaciones más profundas y específicas sobre el tema, ya que la mayoría de los documentos encontrados se centraron en casos generales de uso de Discord en la educación, y se carece de investigaciones específicas que aborden su aplicación en el contexto limeño. Esto plantea la pregunta: ¿cuál es el estado del arte sobre la red social Discord como plataforma de comunicación y colaboración en la educación superior en Iberoamérica?This is a state of the art on the use of the social network Discord as a communication and collaboration platform in higher education in Latin America. This arises in response to the growing relevance of the use of information technologies in higher education and in particular the use of social networks. To this end, a review of studies and research was carried out, with a qualitative and descriptive approach. The results showed that Discord has gained popularity as a versatile tool for communication and collaboration between students and teachers in higher education institutions. However, based on the findings, it is necessary to do more in-depth and specific research on the topic, since most of the documents found focused on general cases of the use of Discord in education, and there is a lack of specific research that addresses its application in the Lima context. This raises the question: what is the state of the art on the social network Discord as a communication and collaboration platform in higher education in Latin America?
