La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre las variables del síndrome de Burnout y la satisfacción laboral de los docentes de Periodismo de una universidad privada de Lima. A su vez buscó identificar la relación entre las dimensiones de despersonalización, realización personal y agotamiento emocional del Burnout con la satisfacción laboral de dichos docentes. Y finalmente, estableció el grado de satisfacción laboral docente. Este estudio fue del tipo no aplicado, de nivel correlacional, con un enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental y corte transversal. La población y la muestra fueron de 75 docentes de la carrera de Periodismo de una universidad privada de Lima durante el periodo 2020–1. Los instrumentos usados fueron los cuestionarios del Síndrome de Burnout (MBI-Ed) y de la Satisfacción Laboral Docente (ESLA) que obtuvieron un Alfa de Cronbach de 0,776 y 0,685respectivamente.Los datos estadísticos del estudio evidenciaron que no hay una relación significativa entre la satisfacción laboral y el síndrome de Burnout en los docentes de la institución educativa analizada.The present research aimed to determine the relationship between the variables of Burnout syndrome and job satisfaction of journalism teachers at a private university in Lima. In turn, he sought to identify the relationship between the dimensions of depersonalization, personal fulfillment and emotional burnout with the job satisfaction of these teachers. Finally, it established the degree of satisfaction in the teaching profession.This study was of the unapplied type, at a correlational level, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design and cross-sectional. The population and sample were 75 professors of journalism from a private university in Lima during the period 2020-1. The instruments used were the Burnout Syndrome and Teacher Job Satisfaction questionnaires, which obtained a Cronbach Alpha of 0.776 and 0.685 respectively. The statistical data of the study showed that there is no significant relationship between job satisfaction and Burnout syndrome in teachers of the educational institution analyzed.
